After detailed discussion, also with the responsible veterinary authorities of Ukraine, the EU Commission has announced that the exemptions for Ukrainian refugees accompanied by pets will be terminated. Therefore, as of 01.07.2023, only the regular legal entry conditions will apply again for pet animals from Ukraine.

Excluded from this are pets that can be proven to have fled Ukraine with their owners before 15 June 2023. The owners of these animals are requested to ensure that they are in a legally compliant state (valid rabies vaccination, rabies titer determination) as soon as possible.
