Consignments from third countries (or parts of third countries) of food and feed of non-animal origin listed in the Annexes to Regulation (EU) 2019/1793 as amended are subject to temporary increased official controls at border inspection posts upon entry into the European Union and at the control posts.

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3153 revised Regulation (EU) 2019/1793 and amended the annexes.

The amendments made by this regulation enter into force on 8 January 2025, subject to the transitional period for certain consignments in Article 2 (or Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1793).

Annexes I and II in the version of the Annex to Regulation (EU) 2024/3153 will therefore apply from 8 January 2025.
