Due to the current situation, the movement of pet animals from Israel to Austria by entrants is considered authorized from 17.10.2023, for a period of three months, under the following conditions :
- The person responsible for the animal shall subject the transferred animal to at least one month of domestic isolation in Austria immediately after the transfer. If confirmation is available from the country of destination or any transit country that entry or transit is permitted, domestic isolation in Austria may be waived on condition that Austrian territory is left immediately.
- The person responsible for the animal shall notify the district administrative authority locally responsible for the place of isolation within one day of the transfer under the conditions of this announcement, attaching the fully completed form ("Survey Sheet Pet Animals Accompanied by Persons Entering from Israel").
- The person responsible for the animal shall prevent contact of the animal and its excrement with other animals susceptible to rabies.
The form "Survey Sheet Pet Animals Accompanied by Entrants from Israel" can be found in the annex to the announcement of the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMSGPK) on the establishment of entry conditions for pet animals from Israel, as well as the announcement of the BMSGPK on the establishment of entry conditions for pet animals from Israel in the official veterinary news.
