A new Working Document on additional official controls on products originating from certain third countries of DG AGRI has been in force since January 1, 2024.
In this document, the European Commission defines sampling and laboratory analysis frequencies for the import of organic products into the EU based on import data from the previous year. The aim is to find possible violations of the Organic Regulation (EU) 2018/848 and to stop affected goods and products at the point of entry into the EU.
