The Federal Office of Consumer Health (BAVG) is the competent authority in Austria for receiving and processing applications in the area of geographical indications for spirits.
The BAVG has received an application for a standard amendment to the product specification of the geographical indication "Mariazeller Magenlikör g.A.".
Within two months of the publication of the application, any person with a legitimate interest established or resident in the territory of the Republic of Austria may object to the application or submit comments to the BAVG. These must be submitted in writing by e-mail to qualitaetsregelungen@bavg.gv.at.
